I live in a small town in Northern Maine. This area is a farming community. Farms for miles. Not a lot of going out, so no need to get dressed up. I can run to the store in torn sweats and slippers and no one would ever bat an eye, but now that I am into doing nail art, no matter how I look, no matter what I am wearing, I will still get a compliment thanks to the nails!
They work their magic and charm people. It's kind of nice to get complimented. It allows me to be a teeny tiny bit fancy, without having to get the whole package done. :)
The downside? Well the only downside for me is that I have been letting my nails grow for awhile now. I used to always trim then down, but now that I love to do nail art I am letting them go... and man, is it hard to type and do other things with these things! Oh don't get me wrong, my nails pale in comparison to many nails you will find out there. Some people have talons instead of nails. How they live with nails that long is beyond me.
I am sharing a picture of my naked nails in their current length. Just for reference. Yes... I have sausage fingers and dry hands. So just focus on the nails... ;)
