Kleancolor - Chunky Holo Polish Review

Chunky Holo Nail Polish Review

These reviews are based solely on my personal opinion..

I purchased a set of 10 Chunky Holo and Madly Matte polishes on Amazon for 15.74 and Free Shipping.

The colors looked so beautiful I had to have them. The pictures you see in the review chart don’t really show the colors as they are in person. The image directly below this is more accurate in color. Thank Goodness because I probably would have skipped these if I based it on the colors in the chart
.

There are a few notes about these polishes that I feel like I should share.
This applies to all of them so far that I have seen, so I will add this note up here.

These Chunky Holo Polishes are actually translucent but not clear. What I mean is that the “Clover” polish goes on in a translucent green color and then you have all your holographic glitter with it.  So it is not a clear polish with holographic glitter.  The upside of this is that if you are applying it over a similar color it will be enhanced. If you are applying it over a completely different color, you can expect a tint of the color in the Holo bottle.

They are fairly thick, but not so thick that you can’t use them comfortably. I was pleased with how much of the holographic glitter attaches to the brush to be applied. I have only used the teal (which is the main reason I bought this set) and with 2 coats over my pastel teal, you can see the glitter, but it is not very obvious from a distance. If I applied more coats it would probably stand out more.  I have not tried the Madly Matte yet, but will update this review when I have. Each time I use a new color from this collection I will add it below.

I would consider these an enhancement nail polish as opposed to a main color for nails. Unless you want to apply multiple liberal coats. They are worth having in your collection.

My Images are zoomed in so you can see more detail. Also please note the colors are slightly brighter than what you see.

Madly Matte

I applied one coat of Madly Matte over 2 coats of Kleancolor #140 Pastel Purple. After it dried I applied a few fresh dots of the regular Pastel Purple over it.

You can see the difference in shine for sure, and it gave the dots a wet look, but I will say that the base coat that I covered was still a teeny tiny bit shiny.

This was with just one coat of Madly Matte applied.

Holo Chrome

Holo Chrome is my favorite from this lot. It has tons of color and sparkle. It goes on really smooth as well. The only drawback is that the base translucent color is kind of dark. Not as dark as in my image, but a medium blue. But it truly is one of the best in the line.

Chunky Holo Teal

This picture isn’t how it looks in person. It is very bright and light. I love the color in the bottle. If you look at the first image on the page it is a better representation of actual color.

To Enhance :

2 or 3 coats

As Main Color :

3 or more

Chunky Holo Purple

Note : This Polish and #230 look identical in person.

Chunky Holo Black

This is definitely a Chunky Holo.  I applied it over a single black coat of polish and the large holo glitters stood out. Primary Holo colors I saw were Amber and Gold. Beautiful. My second favorite in this collection.
